Hello! My name is Doug Thompson, or you can call me “Santa Dougie!” I am a professional Santa Claus actor living on the Outer Banks of NC. I have acted my entire life and am a retired high school teacher and coach. I have been a working Santa since 1993, after I became hooked appearing as Santa in the play “Here’s Love” (the stage production of Miracle on 34th St.)

I’ve had lots of different Santa experiences with a wide range of events working with both children and adults. In the past few years, I’ve expanded my Santa visits between the Outer Banks of NC and the Virginia Beach area. I am now thrilled to announce that I am now the designated Santa Claus for the Elizabethan Gardens’ WinterLights holiday event in Manteo.
